Thoughts on Q1….

It’s been a productive first quarter of 2015 at Saragossa which has resulted in the successful recruitment of a number of Engineers, Analysts and Manager into our client teams.

We have noticed emerging trends in the recruitment market and have been working hard with clients to adapt our recruitment efforts accordingly. Specifically we have noticed that in increasing number of the permanent vacancies we are engaged to recruit are coming about due internal promotions, with firms preferring to promote talent internally where possible and then recruit for the (typically more junior) vacant position.

After investigation it would appear that this is many cases this is a proactive move from recruiting managers, placing less emphasis on proven prior experience in mid to senior level positions, and instead focusing on the potential to perform in a position with the appropriate support and coaching, alongside a good understanding of their existing client environment and it’s unique challenges.

This is a refreshing trend and should encourage talented junior staff to see the career potential within organisations.

The Saragossa  team itself has been growing with addition of Matthew Saer as a Consultant, having graduated with a Law degree Matt commenced a career in B2B sales before opting to join Saragossa to develop and grow our client base and support recruitment projects on behalf of our clients.
